Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes: a first insulation substrate; a plurality of color filters positioned on the first insulation substrate; a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines positioned on the plurality of color filters; a plurality of thin film transistors positioned on the plurality of color filters and connected to the plurality of gate lines and the plurality of data lines; a plurality of pixel electrodes connected to the plurality of thin film transistors; a second insulation substrate facing the first insulation substrate; a liquid crystal layer positioned between the first insulation substrate and the second insulation substrate; and a backlight unit positioned behind the second insulation substrate, wherein the thin film transistors are not formed on the second insulation substrate and anti-glare elements are provided in front of at least one of the data lines and gate lines for respectively reducing or preventing the reflection of ambient light to a user from the data lines or the gate lines respectively.
