Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate including at least one electrode configured to form an electric field, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystal of negative dielectric anisotropy, an additive, and a derivative of the additive.
