Abstract: A display device including a first substrate having a display area and a peripheral area surrounding the display area, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a common voltage line disposed on the peripheral area of the first substrate, a color filter disposed on the common voltage line overlapping the common voltage line, a common electrode disposed below the second substrate and having an opening overlapping the common voltage line and the color filter, and a sealant disposed between the color filter and the common electrode overlapping the common voltage line, the color filter, and the opening.
