Abstract: A display device including a base layer having a display region defined along a first direction and a second direction that are orthogonal to each other, a plurality of first light emitting elements on the base layer, wherein each one of the first light emitting elements includes a first electrode, a second electrode on the first electrode, and a first emission layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, a pixel definition layer having a plurality of first emission openings each of which exposes the first electrode of a corresponding first light emitting element of the first light emitting elements, a thin encapsulation layer that covers the first light emitting elements and the pixel definition layer, and a sensing electrode on the thin encapsulation layer.
