Abstract: A liquid crystal composition includes a first compound represented by Chemical Formula 1. In Chemical Formula 1, R1 is an alkyl group having a carbon number of 1 to 10 or a cycloalkyl group having a total carbon number of 3 to 16, and R2 is an alkoxy group having a carbon number of 1 to 10. The liquid crystal composition does not include a compound having an alkenyl as a substituent group, and the liquid crystal composition does not include a compound represented by Chemical Formula 4. In Chemical Formula 4, R5 and R5′ are independently an alkyl group having a carbon number of 1 to 10 or an alkoxy group having a carbon number of 1 to 10.
