Abstract: Provided is a display device, including a base layer, and a display element layer on the base layer, and having a light emitting element, the light emitting element includes a first electrode, a second electrode on the first electrode, and a plurality of organic layers between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the light emitting element emits light from the first electrode to the second electrode, and the second electrode includes a first layer on the plurality of organic layers, the first layer including silver (Ag) and/or magnesium (Mg), and a second layer on the first layer, the second layer including ytterbium (Yb). Abstract: Provided are a display device and a method for manufacturing the same. The display device of an embodiment may include a base layer, a light emitting element, and an encapsulation layer. The encapsulation layer included in the display device may include a first inorganic layer, a second inorganic layer, and an organic layer, and the organic layer may include a near-infrared absorbing dye to contribute to reducing a dead space, and accordingly, the display device may exhibit improved display quality.
