Abstract: A display device includes a base substrate, a first pixel electrode disposed on the base substrate, a pixel defining layer disposed on the first pixel electrode and including an opening exposing the first pixel electrode, an organic light emitting unit disposed on the first pixel electrode, and a second pixel electrode disposed on the organic light emitting unit. The organic light emitting unit includes a first functional layer disposed on the first pixel electrode and including a lower surface contacting the first pixel electrode and an upper surface opposite to the lower surface, a light emitting layer disposed on the first functional layer, and a third functional layer disposed on the light emitting layer and including a lower surface contacting the light emitting layer and an upper surface opposite to the lower surface.
