    Abstract: Provided is a battery module having a bidirectional cooling structure. The A battery module comprising: a module case comprising an upper cover plate and a lower cover plate; and at least two pouch cells accommodated in the module case, respectively including sealed portions on three sides thereof, wherein among the sealed portions, a sealed portion from which no electrode lead protrudes is folded in one direction, and the folded sealed portion is positioned on a side of the upper cover plate or the lower cover plate of the module case, wherein a thermal adhesive is attached directly to a pouch side of at least one of the at least two pouch cells located in a direction opposite to a folding direction of the folded sealed portion.

    Abstract: A battery pack is disclosed. In some embodiments of the disclosed technology, a battery pack including: one or more battery modules, each battery module including: one or more battery cells; and a module case accommodating the one or more battery cells therein and a base panel forming a lower surface of the module case; and an accommodating panel forming a bottom surface of a module accommodating space for accommodating the one or more battery modules, wherein the accommodating panel includes: a first bottom surface positioned to face each of the base panels; and a second bottom surface including a heat resistance portion which is connected to at least a part of the first bottom surface and configured to reduce conduction of heat generated from any one of the battery modules to another adjacent battery module through the first bottom surface.

    Abstract: A battery module according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a plurality of secondary battery cells; and a housing member including a cooling plate member, and a heat conductive member provided between the secondary battery cells and the cooling plate member to form a heat path for transferring heat from the secondary battery cells to the cooling plate member, the housing member having the plurality of secondary battery cells accommodated therein, wherein the heat conductive member is comprised such that a portion of the heat conductive member in contact with a secondary battery cell that is supercooled has a lower thermal conductivity than a remaining portion of the heat conductive member.
