Abstract: There is provided a fiber body manufacturing apparatus including: an accumulating section that forms a web by accumulating a material containing fibers on a first transport belt by a dry method; a transport section that transports the web by peeling off a first surface of the web from the first transport belt, and by bringing a second surface of the web, which is a surface opposite to the first surface peeled off from the first transport belt, into contact with a second transport belt; a water-applying section that applies water toward the first surface of the web in a state where the web is in contact with the second transport belt; and a pressurizing section that pressurizes the web to which the water is applied and which is peeled off from the second transport belt.

Abstract: A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes an impeller mill, a first sieve, a first belt, a rotary body, a second sieve, a second belt, and a heating roller. The impeller mill defibrates a raw material containing fiber and discharges a defibrated material. The first sieve screens the defibrated material by causing the defibrated material to pass through a first net. The defibrated material passing through the first sieve is deposited on the first belt to form a web. The rotary body has a protrusion radially protruded from a rotation center and divides the web by rotation to form a subdivided body. The second sieve refines the subdivided body by causing the subdivided body to pass through the second net to form a web. The refined subdivided body is deposited on the second belt to form a web. The heating roller heats the web from the second belt to form a sheet.

The screening unit has a cylindrical unit with openings on a curved surface which is configured to rotate, two side units that are located at two end parts of the cylindrical unit which are spaced apart in a direction of extension of a rotation center axis thereof and that is configured not to rotate, an introduction unit provided to one of the side units and configured to introduce the material to the cylindrical unit, and a discharge unit provided to the other of the side units, located downward from the introduction unit, and configured to discharge a residual material that does not pass through the openings.

Abstract: A web manufacturing apparatus includes a transport section configured to transport a web containing fiber, a web humidifier configured to humidify the web, and a control section configured to control operation of the transport section and the web humidifier. When transportation of the web by the transport section is stopped, the control section causes the transport section to recommence transportation of the web after the web is humidified by the web humidifier. The control section may also cause the web humidifier to stop humidification of the web after the web humidifier starts humidification of the web and a predetermined duration elapses.
