    Abstract: An X-ray imaging apparatus and control method for the same relate to a mobile X-ray imaging apparatus that allows a user to recognize whether the X-ray imaging apparatus is in an appropriate imaging distance from an object. The X-ray imaging apparatus includes an X-ray source, an input unit that receives distance information between the X-ray source and an X-ray detector, a reference light emitter that irradiates a light from the X-ray source in a direction where the X-ray detector is placed, at least one auxiliary light emitter that irradiates a light that overlaps with a light from the reference light emitter; and a controller that determines an auxiliary light emitter corresponding to the distance information among the at least one auxiliary light emitter, and controls the reference light emitter and the determined auxiliary light emitter so that the reference light emitter and the determined auxiliary light emitter irradiate a light.
