Abstract: A method of a first base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method may include: determining a parameter associated with repeated transmissions of a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) based on a first sub-carrier spacing and one or more second sub-carrier spacings for the first base station and one or more second base stations, respectively; transmitting the determined parameter associated with the repeated transmissions of the SRS to a terminal; and performing positioning of the terminal based on the SRS transmitted repeatedly from the terminal.

Abstract: A first relay node in a wireless communication system receives, from a second relay node via a backhaul link, coordination information including an index indicating a density pattern of a second phase tracking reference signal (PTRS). The first relay node transmits, to a terminal, configuration information including information on a first subcarrier offset for a first PTRS. The first relay node transmits to the terminal the first PTRS based on the coordination information and the information on the first subcarrier offset. The first subcarrier offset for the first PTRS is different from a second subcarrier offset for the second PTRS.

Abstract: Provided are methods and apparatuses for performing a random access of a terminal in a wireless communication system. Described is a method of operating a mobile terminal in a wireless communications network, the mobile terminal being arranged to communicate with a base station, the method comprising: one or more of: determining a cause of the Random Access procedure initiation following initiation of a Random Access procedure; and determining one or more transmission priority factors indicating an operating parameter of the network; and based on one or more of the determined cause of Random Access procedure initiation and the determined one or more transmission priority factors, performing one of: prioritising Random Access signal transmission over signal transmission on the uplink shared channel; prioritising signal transmission on the uplink shared channel over Random Access signal transmission; or making no change to the existing signal transmission protocol. Also described is a method of operating a base station in in a wireless communications network, the base station being arranged to communicate with a mobile terminal, the method comprising determining a prioritisation action for the mobile terminal to perform based on one or more of a determined indication and a received indication from the mobile terminal. Also described is a method and apparatus for signalling for group handover or cell re-selection in non-terrestrial networks.
