Abstract:
An electronic apparatus and a playout delay adjustment method thereof are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a target playout delay estimator configured to estimate an initial target playout delay of a current frame by using network status information of a played packet and estimate a final target playout delay of the current frame by updating the estimated initial target playout delay based on real delay information of an unplayed packet, and an adaptation controller configured to determine an adaptation method for adjusting a playout delay of the current frame based on the final target playout delay.
Abstract:
Provided is an audio encoding method. The audio encoding method includes: acquiring envelopes based on a predetermined sub-band for an audio spectrum; quantizing the envelopes based on the predetermined sub-band; and obtaining a difference value between quantized envelopes for adjacent sub-bands and lossless encoding a difference value of a current sub-band by using a difference value of a previous sub-band as a context. Accordingly, the number of bits required to encode envelope information of an audio spectrum may be reduced in a limited bit range, thereby increasing the number of bits required to encode an actual spectral component.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for encoding and decoding spectrum coefficients in the frequency domain. The spectrum encoding method may comprise the steps of: selecting an encoding type on the basis of bit allocation information of respective bands; performing zero encoding with respect to a zero band; and encoding information of selected significant frequency components with respect to respective non-zero bands. The spectrum encoding method enables encoding and decoding of spectrum coefficients which is adaptive to various bit-rates and various sub-band sizes. In addition, a spectrum can be encoded using a TCQ method at a fixed bit rate using a bit-rate control module in a codec that supports multiple rates. Encoding performance of the codec can be maximised by encoding high performance TCQ at a precise target bit rate.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method of low bit rate encoding and reproducing. The method includes transforming input audio signals in a time domain into spectral signals in a frequency domain, extracting important-spectrum components from the spectral signals in the frequency domain, and quantizing the important-spectrum components, extracting residual-spectrum components other than the important-spectrum components from the spectral signals in the frequency domain, and calculating and quantizing a noise level of the residual-spectrum components, and encoding the quantized important-spectrum components and the quantized noise level losslessly, and outputting encoded bitstreams.
