Abstract: A connection close-related packet transmission method and apparatus is provided for improving power saving efficiency of a power-constrained mobile terminal. The connection close-related packet transmission method includes establishing a radio connection with a server; determining whether a preconfigured connection close timeout elapses without connection activity after the connection establishment; buffering, when the connection close timeout elapses, a connection close-related packet; and transmitting, when another packet transmission is predicted, the connection-related packet to the server. The connection close-related packet transmission method and apparatus is advantageous in power saving efficiency of a power-constrained mobile terminal.

Abstract: In an electronic device launching a communication service according to various embodiments and a method of operating the electronic device, the electronic device includes a memory configured to store device information corresponding to the electronic device; a first communication module comprising communication circuitry configured to establish a first communication connection corresponding to a first communication method with an external server; a second communication module comprising communication circuitry configured to establish a second communication connection corresponding to a second communication method with an external electronic device; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to establish the first communication connection with the external server using the first communication module, to transmit the device information to the external server through the first communication connection, to receive one or more service identifiers corresponding to one or more services available to the external electronic device from the external server, to establish the second communication connection with the external electronic device using the second communication module, and to transmit control information based on at least a part of an identifier corresponding to at least one service of the one or more services to the external electronic device to activate the at least one service in the external electronic device.

Abstract: An application synchronization method for use in a terminal is provided. Abstract: A plurality of electronic devices can share a single phone number with each other. One of the electronic devices includes a display, a communication circuit, a processor operatively connected to the display and the communication circuit, and a memory operatively connected to the processor and configured to store a plurality of call logs. The memory stores instructions causing, when executed, the processor to receive a call request via the phone number, to transmit a first call log associated with a missed call to a server in response to a stopped reception of the call request, to receive a first response signal regarding transmission of the first call log from the server, to store the first call log in the memory, based on the first response signal, to receive a push signal from the server, and to update the first call log stored in the memory, based on the push signal.
