Abstract: A network storage device connected with a network fabric includes a network storage controller that performs interfacing with the network fabric and translates and processes a command provided through the network fabric, and a nonvolatile memory cluster that exchanges data with the network storage controller under control of the network storage controller. The nonvolatile memory cluster includes a first nonvolatile memory array connected with the network storage controller through a first channel, a nonvolatile memory switch connected with the network storage controller through a second channel, and a second nonvolatile memory array communicating with the network storage controller under control of the nonvolatile memory switch.

Abstract: A queue management method of a storage device which is connected to a network fabric and which includes a plurality of nonvolatile memory devices, includes receiving a write command and write data provided from a host through the network fabric, writing the write command to a command submission queue and writing the write data to a data submission queue, wherein the data submission queue is managed independently of the command submission queue, and executing the write command written to the command submission queue to write the write data written to the data submission queue to a first target device of the plurality of nonvolatile memory devices.

Abstract: In a method of scheduling jobs in a storage device, a first job is performed. While the first job is being performed, a first timestamp for the first job is pre-updated based on a pre-defined operation time table that represents a relationship between operations of the storage device and operation times. While the first job is being performed, scheduling requests are received that are associated with a second job to be performed after the first job. While the first job is being performed, a scheduling operation for selecting the second job is pre-performed based on the scheduling requests and the timestamps.

Abstract: A storage device includes a nonvolatile memory and a controller. The controller includes a job manager circuit and a processor. The job manager circuit manages a first-type job associated with the nonvolatile memory, and the processor processes a second-type job associated with the nonvolatile memory. The job manager circuit manages the first-type job without intervention of the processor. The processor provides a management command to the job manager circuit in response to a notification received from the job manager circuit, such that the second-type job is processed.
