Abstract: Disclosed are an electronic apparatus, a control method thereof, and a computer program product for the same, the electronic apparatus including: a receiver comprising receiving circuitry configured to receive a sound; and a processor configured to: identify with a given sensitivity whether a characteristic of a received sound corresponds to a voice command of a user in response to the sound being received through the receiver, identify the voice command based on identifying that the characteristic of the received sound corresponds to the voice command, and perform an operation corresponding to the identified voice command, and change the sensitivity based on identifying that the characteristic of the received sound does not correspond to the voice command. Thus, the electronic apparatus performs the optimum and/or improved audio process by properly controlling the sensitivity based on the circumstances.

Abstract: A controlling method of a wearable electronic apparatus includes: receiving, by an IMU sensor, a bone conduction signal corresponding to vibration in the user's face, while the wearable electronic apparatus is operated in an ANC mode; identifying a presence or an absence of the user's voice based on the bone conduction signal; based on the identifying the presence of the user's voice, controlling an operation mode of the wearable electronic apparatus to be a different operation mode from the ANC mode; while the wearable electronic apparatus is operated in the different operation mode, identifying presence or absence of the user's voice based on the bone conduction signal; and based on the absence of the user's voice being identified for a predetermined time while the wearable electronic apparatus is operated in the different operation mode, controlling the different operation mode to return to the ANC mode.

Abstract: An electronic device for speech recognition includes a multi-channel microphone array required for remote speech recognition. The electronic device improves efficiency and performance of speech recognition of the electronic device in a space where noise other than speech to be recognized exists. A control method includes receiving a plurality of audio signals output from a plurality of sources through a plurality of microphones and analyzing the audio signals and obtaining information on directions in which the audio signals are input and information on input times of the audio signals. A target source for speech recognition among the plurality of sources is determined on the basis of the obtained information on the directions in which the plurality of audio signals are input, and the obtained information on the input times of the plurality of audio signals, and an audio signal obtained from the determined target source is processed.

Abstract: A speech recognition method includes receiving a first multi-channel audio signal; obtaining at least one of a speech signal characteristic or a noise signal characteristic for at least one frequency band of frequency bands corresponding to channel audio signals included in the first multi-channel audio signal; generating a signal with an enhanced speech component by performing beamforming on the first multi-channel audio signal based on the speech signal characteristic, a speech signal characteristic obtained for a previous frame that was obtained before a certain time that the first multi-channel audio signal was obtained, and the noise signal characteristic; determining whether the enhanced speech component includes a wake word; and based on determining that the enhanced speech component includes the wake word: activating a speech recognition operation based on the signal with the enhanced speech component.
