Abstract: An electric equipment including a communication unit to communicate with at least one electric equipment in a predetermined space through a network, a sound collection unit to collect sound in the predetermined space, a voice recognition unit to recognize a voice from the collected sound, and a controller to transmit a noise reduction control signal to the at least one electric equipment when the recognized voice is an operation command. Voice recognition is performed in a state in which surrounding noise is reduced, thereby improving performance of the voice recognition and thus improving operational accuracy of an electric equipment. In addition, a voice recognition rate is increased, thereby improving user satisfaction.
