Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method for managing orientation of a CPE (402). The method includes: detecting, by the CPE (402), that the CPE (402) is in a first orientation and connected to at least one first beam of at least one of a network element (600) and an electronic device (500). Further, the method includes detecting, by the CPE (402), a requirement for connecting to at least one second beam of at least one of the network element (600) and the electronic device (402). Further, the method includes changing, by the CPE (402), the CPE (402) to a second orientation for connecting to the at least one second beam.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a fifth generation (5G) or sixth generation (6G) communication system. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication is provided. The method includes requesting a network on a first frequency for allocating an uplink (UL) grant, detecting at least one UL grant failure in which the UE lost scheduling request (SR) resources without receiving the UL grant from network, releasing the first frequency upon detecting the at least one UL grant failure by reporting the at least one UL grant failure to the network, receiving a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration including a second frequency from the network in response to reporting the failure and adding the second frequency to revive lost SR resources, the second frequency including the same first frequency, which has been released, or a different secondary primary cell (SPcell) associated with the first frequency.

Abstract: An example method for selecting a measurement mode by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system including multiple transmission and reception points (TRP) scenario includes receiving, from a network entity, system information indicating one or more measurement modes supported by the network entity; selecting a measurement mode among the one or more measurement modes based on one or more UE parameters; transmitting, to the network entity, a radio resource control (RRC) connection request for the selected measurement mode; and receiving, from the network entity in response to the transmitted RRC connection request, a first RRC connection configuration for configuring the UE with the selected measurement mode.

Abstract: A method for handling transmission-reception points (TRPs) by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system including multiple TRPs, comprising: receiving a plurality of TRP signals from a plurality of TRPs in the communication system; determining a set of TRPs from the plurality of TRPs based on a plurality of network parameters; clustering the set of TRPs into at least one cluster based on at least one characteristic related to the plurality of TRP signals; selecting a cluster for path switching from the at least one cluster; determining whether the selected cluster comprises a TRP better than a current TRP used by the UE; switching to the better TRP from the current TRP based on determining that the selected cluster comprises the TRP better than the current TRP; and transmitting a TRP switch message to at least one network apparatus.
