摘要: Methods for detecting the flight path of projectiles involve a sequence of N target detections that include detecting the measured velocities and azimuthal angle bearings of the projectile along the flight path of the projectile by Doppler radar at the times tn, wherein n=1 . . . N, and determining the flight path and the direction of motion of the projectile are from these measurements. The measurements are adapted in a first nonlinear parameter fit to an analytical relationship of the time curve of the radial velocity of the projectile while the projectile passes through the detection range of the radar and so that the absolute projectile velocity, minimum distance of the project flight path from the radar, time at which the projectile passes the point having the minimum distance, flight path direction in azimuth, and flight path direction in elevation can be estimated.

摘要: Monitoring an area with the aid of a frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar includes emitting a frequency-modulated continuous-wave transmitting signal with at least one transmitting antenna having a directional pattern whose main azimuthal direction depends on the frequency of the transmitting signal. Related to a predeterminable direction, an azimuthal region is selected, and in the selected region, an azimuthal swivelling of the directional pattern of the transmitting antenna is carried out by changing the frequency of the transmitting signal. Also in the selected region, each azimuthal value is assigned a frequency value of the transmitting signal. The selected region is divided into a predeterminable number of azimuthal increments adjoining one another, and in each of the increments, a monotonous change of the frequency of the transmitting signal occurs. A reflected portion of the transmitting signal, which is reflected by the area to be monitored, is received with a receiving antenna, and a coherent signal processing for evaluating the receiving signal for each increment coherent signal processing is carried out.
