Abstract: Uses of ADNF polypeptides in therapy are provided. Accordingly, there is provided a method of treating a disease associated with visual evoked potential impairment and/or speech impairment that is not due to vocal disturbance and in which the subject suffers from the visual evoked potential impairment and/or speech impairment, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an ADNF polypeptide, wherein said ADNF polypeptide has a neurotrophic/neuroprotective activity in an in vitro cortical neuron culture assay.
