In one aspect, an apparatus for wireless communications includes a transceiver configured to wirelessly transmit and receive packets. The apparatus further includes a wake up circuit configured to wirelessly receive packets. The apparatus is further configured to detect reception of a wake up signal via the receiver and execute a command based on the wake up signal. In another aspect, an apparatus is disclosed, which generates and transmits wake up signals.
