Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may generate a scheduling request for transmission to a base station. The UE may pause a transmission of the scheduling request according to an overlap in time between a response window associated with the scheduling request and a scheduled tuneaway period of the UE. The UE may tune away from the base station during the tuneaway period. The UE may transmit the scheduling request after a completion of the tuneaway period according to the pausing.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify one or more symbols, associated with downlink communication of a first radio access technology (RAT), that are Impacted by antenna switching used to transmit an uplink reference signal of a second RAT. The UE may perform a mitigation action to mitigate downlink performance degradation associated with the first RAT based at least in part on identifying the one or more symbols.
