Abstract: A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes: operating in a Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) mode in which a first subscriber identity module (SIM) is designated as a default data subscription (DDS); transmitting a sounding reference signal (SRS) from a communication port of the UE, wherein the SRS has a timing offset assigned by a network associated with the first SIM; receiving paging messages from a network associated with a second SIM; determining an offset adjustment to avoid a collision between the SRS and the paging messages; sending a request to the network associated with the first SIM to adjust the timing offset according to the offset adjustment; and receiving an offset change configuration from the network associated with the first SIM.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for rapidly camping on frequencies for a second (e.g., non-legacy) radio access technology (RAT) after discontinuing communications using a first (e.g., legacy) RAT. An example method generally includes terminating an active communications session on a first radio access technology (RAT), measuring signal strength of one or more frequencies supporting a second RAT in a configured list of frequencies, identifying a frequency to camp on based on a priority and a measured signal strength of each frequency in the configured list of frequencies, and camping on the identified frequency.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration associated with the UE. Additionally, the UE may refrain from transmitting a control element within an uplink period, associated with the SPS configuration, when a buffer of data intended for the base station is empty. For example, the UE may increase a period associated with the control element. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may randomly select the control element, to refrain from transmitting, from a plurality of control elements within a period of time. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to recovery from a loss of service in wireless networks. An example method generally includes: in response to a loss of service from a cell of a first radio access technology (RAT) associated with a VPLMN, attempting to camp on a first cell, receiving, from the first cell, a rejection of the camping attempt indicating roaming is not allowed, based on receiving the rejection indicating roaming is not allowed, searching at least one of an home public land mobile network (HPLMN) or registered public land mobile network (RPLMN) for one or more second cells of the first RAT, wherein searching includes refraining from searching at least one other RATs of the HPLMN, and if at least one second cell is detected, attempting to camp on the at least one second cell.
