Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a wireless communication device is disclosed. The wireless communication device roams on a network. The wireless communication device initiates a voice over Internet Protocol call. A response from the network is received. Quality of service capabilities and precondition capabilities of the network are determined from the response. The wireless communication device proceeds with the voice over Internet Protocol call without quality of service preconditions.
