Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may measure a parameter associated with a secondary cell group. The UE may perform an optimization response action for a dual connectivity mode of a first frequency parameter or a second frequency parameter when the parameter satisfies a threshold, wherein the optimization response action is associated with whether the secondary cell group is operating with the first frequency parameter or the second frequency parameter. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A system may support techniques for triggering user equipment (UE) assistance information (UAI) based on mobility, wake up signal (WUS) configuration, or both. In some cases, a UE may communicate with a network node (e.g., a base station) on a first channel according to a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration. The UE may determine that a speed of the UE satisfies a mobility threshold and may transmit UAI requesting one or more updated DRX configuration parameters based on the speed of the UE satisfying the mobility threshold. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may receive signaling configuring the UE to monitor for WUSs and may transmit UAI requesting one or more updated DRX configuration parameters based on the WUS configuration. The UE may receive control signaling configuring the DRX configuration with the one or more requested parameters in response to the UAI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling for communications in a wireless communications system. The control signaling may indicate a first duration for an inactivity timer. The UE may initiate the inactivity timer and a second timer based on identifying a period of inactivity. The second timer may have a second duration that is shorter than the first duration for the inactivity timer. In some examples, the second duration may be based on one or more parameters, such as a display status, a battery status, a scaling factor, the first duration, an application state, or any combination thereof. The UE may release a connection for the communications in the wireless communications system based on an expiration of the second timer, an expiration of the inactivity timer, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) operating in a connected mode may identify application usage information or UE operation information and may determine a preference to transition to an idle or inactive mode. Additionally, the UE may determine requested values for a set of parameters for a connected mode discontinuous reception (C-DRX) state of the UE. For example, the UE may predict a period of inactivity or determine the requested values based on a traffic profile, activity mode, or historical data. The UE may transmit, to a base station, an indication of the preference or an indication of the requested value. In response, the base station may instruct the UE to transition from the connected mode to the inactive or idle mode, or may transmit an indication of configured values for the set of parameters for the C-DRX state for the UE.

Abstract: Described herein are aspects related to assigning primary channels in wireless communications. An amount of available bandwidth within a radio frequency band can be determined for shared access by a plurality of operators, where each operator operates a radio access network having one of a plurality of radio communication compatibility types, and where each radio communication compatibility type defines a set of one or more compatible radio access technologies. The amount of available bandwidth can be allocated into radio compatibility type-specific bandwidth partitions for each radio communication compatibility type based on a number of the plurality of radio communication compatibility types and a number of the plurality of operators corresponding to each radio communication compatibility type. A primary channel can be assigned within at least one of the radio compatibility type-specific bandwidth partitions to at least one operator of the number of the plurality of operators.

Abstract: Some wireless communication systems may attempt to balance frequent transmission opportunities (e.g., where the frequency of the opportunities may refer to gaps in the time domain, frequency domain, etc.) with a desire for communication reliability and/or interference diversity. In accordance with the described techniques, some such systems may apportion communicating devices into groups, where resources are strategically assigned to each group so as to reduce latency without significantly compromising communication reliability or interference diversity (e.g., by allowing a membership of the groups to cycle through all possible combinations before repeating). Such techniques may support delay-sensitive communications, channel sounding procedures, or other similar types of transmissions. Resources may be allocated based on a scheduling parameter transmitted to a user equipment (UE), which may implicitly or explicitly indicate a plurality of resource offsets to the UE.

In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit assistance information to a base station to request an update or a modification to one or more communication parameters configured at the UE. Such communication parameters may include a quantity of uplink multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layers, a quantity of downlink MIMO layers, a minimum scheduling offset, a maximum quantity of component carriers, or a maximum aggregated bandwidth for a secondary cell group (SCG). In some implementations, the UE may transmit the assistance information requesting the update or modification to one or more of such communication parameters based on detecting that the UE satisfies one or more triggering conditions or thresholds.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A plurality of Ethernet devices may transmit Ethernet frames through a cellular network. The Ethernet devices may be coupled to the cellular network via a cellular node. The cellular node may receiver Ethernet frames from the Ethernet devices, identify a traffic class to the Ethernet frames, and map the Ethernet frames to bearers based at least in part on the traffic classes. The cellular node may transmit the Ethernet frames to other cellular nodes using the bearers. At a core network, a mapping between the cellular node and the MAC addresses of the associated Ethernet devices may be stored to allow Ethernet frames to be routed through the cellular network.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for assigning channels to networks in a group based on network coverage overlap and network weights. An example method generally includes determining whether channels are available for allocation at each network represented by a node in a network overlap graph, wherein each node in the graph is associated with an assigned channel in a shared spectrum, and for each network in the graph for which channels are available for allocation, identifying channels that are available for allocation to the network, and assigning at least one of the available channels to the network based, at least in part, on a weighting associated with the network.
