Abstract:
Method, apparatus and computer program product for monitoring wireless wide area network almanac integrity in a wireless wide area network are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving crowdsourcing data from a plurality of mobile devices, determining a change to a wireless wide area network almanac using the crowdsourcing data, and updating a database in accordance with the change to the wireless wide area network almanac.
Abstract:
The subject matter disclosed herein relates to determining whether a reported position of a wireless transmitter is sufficiently accurate in accordance with an accuracy metric based at least in part on a calculated range between an estimated position of a mobile station and the reported position and also based at least in part on one or more measurements taken from one or more signals transmitted by the wireless transmitter.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are presented for providing a combined barometric value. In some embodiments, the method includes obtaining, at the serving fixed local transceiver, barometric values of a plurality of client fixed local transceivers, and determining a combined barometric correction value. The method further includes initiating a barometric correction value of the serving fixed local transceiver to the combined barometric correction value, and sending an indication of the barometric correction value to the plurality of client fixed local transceivers. The method further includes receiving a request for the serving fixed local transceiver barometric correction value from a target client fixed local transceiver, and sending the barometric correction value from the serving fixed local transceiver to the target client fixed local transceiver.
Abstract:
Examples disclosed herein may relate to transmitting almanac information associated with a subset of wireless transmitters to a mobile station. The subset of wireless transmitters may be determined, at least in part, by determining expected contributions of one or more wireless transmitters to a future navigation operation for the mobile station.

Abstract:
A method in a mobile device includes: receiving location signals at the mobile device; measuring sensor data at the mobile device; determining an oscillation rate of the mobile device from the sensor data; in response to the oscillation rate of the mobile device being undesirable, at least one of: (1) determining a desired sampling rate based on the oscillation rate, the desired sampling rate being different from the oscillation rate; and sampling the location signals at the mobile device at the desired sampling rate; (2) sampling the location signals at the mobile device at a randomized sampling rate; (3) disabling a power improvement technique; (4) increasing filtering of determined course information; (5) reducing a nominal filter bandwidth; or (6) increasing a present sampling rate of the location signals to satisfy Nyquist criteria for the oscillation rate; and determining the position associated with the mobile device using the location signals.
