    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication using various patterns of data and reference signals are described. For example, in a system that supports operation using different duration transmission time intervals (TTIs), a base station may initiate communication with a user equipment (UE) or between two UEs, and UEs may communicate with the base station or with one another using an indicated pattern of data and reference signals. The base station may send a downlink control message indicating a transmission pattern selected from a set of patterns. UEs may identify the pattern based on the indicator and decode a sequence of data and reference signals based on the pattern. In some examples, the sequence may include a set of TTIs, which may have a shorter duration than other TTIs.

    Abstract: Non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) may establish uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) radio frame timing structures to efficiently account for propagation delay and propagation delay variation associated with communications in the NTN. NTNs may manage (synchronize) radio frame timing structures of base stations (e.g., satellites) and user equipment (UEs) in the NTN. Further, UEs may determine timing advance (TA) values to be applied to UL transmissions based on their respective scheduling offset (e.g., offset in UL and DL radio frame timing structures), as well as based on propagation delay or round trip time (RTT). As such, served UEs may determine UL timing such that UL transmissions from the UEs to a satellite arrives at the satellite in a time synchronized manner. In other cases, a satellite may determine UL timing, based on reception timing, such that various UEs in the NTN may implement uniform UL and DL radio frame timing structures.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for using automatic gain control symbols to indicate a sidelink mini-slot. A method performed by a transmitting user equipment includes transmitting, during a first time portion of a symbol within a slot, a first beam associated with a first receiving user equipment. The first time portion of the symbol is configured to indicate that the first receiving user equipment will receive another transmission from the transmitting user equipment during a first mini-slot within the slot associated with the first time portion. The method may further include transmitting, during a second time portion of the symbol within the slot, a second beam associated with a second receiving user equipment. The second time portion of the symbol is configured to indicate that the second receiving user equipment will receive another transmission from the transmitting user equipment during a second mini-slot within the slot.

    Abstract: A UE may determine a number of antenna ports associated with a frequency band that includes one or more CCs. The determined number of antenna ports may be based on a plurality of UL Tx chains for the one or more CCs/frequency band. The UE may switch from a first UL Tx chain to a second UL Tx chain, at least one of which may be associated with the one or more CCs/frequency band. The number of antenna ports may correspond to a maximum number of antenna ports of an individual CC of the one or more CCs, or to a sum of antenna ports of the one or more CCs. For the latter, the number of antenna ports may be limited to an available number of UE antenna ports when the sum of antenna ports is greater than the available number of UE antenna ports.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A device may transmit first control signaling indicating a capability for switching between carriers of a group of carriers during uplink communications using carrier aggregation. The group of carriers include three or more carriers that are each associated with different radio frequency bands. The device may receive second control signaling that includes an indication for the device to switch to a subset of carriers of the group of carriers for transmission of an uplink message. The subset of carriers may be associated with a combination of radio frequency bands. The device may transmit the uplink message on at least one of the subset of carriers in accordance with a mapping between the combination of radio frequency bands and the at least one of the subset of carriers, where the mapping is based on the capability.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a UE to apply power-efficient UCI multiplexing rules accounting for situations in which CCs of overlapping PUCCH and PUSCH are in different carrier groups during inter-band CA to result in improved transmission performance. The UE transmits UCI in a PUCCH in a first CC in response to the PUCCH overlapping in time with a PUSCH in a second CC and the first CC being associated with a different carrier group than the second CC. Alternatively, the UE transmits UCI in the PUSCH in the second CC in response to the PUCCH overlapping in time with the PUSCH and the first CC being associated with a same carrier group as the second CC. Furthermore, the UE may apply a diversity scheme for UCI transmissions to achieve improved reliability of UCI feedback. The UE may also indicate which carrier includes UCI based on different DMRS configurations.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select, for a communication on a multi-slot transmission occasion, coded bits of a plurality of coded bits on a per slot basis, for each of multiple slots of the multi-slot transmission occasion. The UE may interleave the coded bits on a per slot basis to form one or more interleaved encoded bit sequences of a codeblock.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish, with a network entity, a wireless connection that uses a set of symbols per transmission time interval (TTI) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communications, where each symbol of the set of symbols may correspond to a fast Fourier transform (FFT) window and may include a guard interval (GI) portion and a data portion within the FFT window. In some examples, the UE may receive a control message indicating at least one parameter associated with a power offset between a data signal of the set of symbols and a reference signal of the set of symbols that is associated with the data signal. As such, the UE may communicate with the network entity, the data signal, and the reference signal according to the indicated power offset using the set of symbols.
