Abstract: An optical lens is used for light in a predetermined target wavelength region. The optical lens includes a substrate and a plurality of microstructures arranged on a surface of the substrate at intervals shorter than the shortest wavelength in the target wavelength region. The structure and/or the interval of each of the plurality of microstructures is determined in such a way as to compensate for a variation in phase and/or transmittance depending on the incident angle of the incident light at each position in the region where the plurality of microstructures is provided.

Abstract: An optical system includes a plurality of lenses and a lens holding member. Each of the plurality of lenses has a cut-off face to have a shape of a partial circle formed by cutting off part of a periphery of a first circle. Cut-off faces of adjacent lenses face each other. The adjacent lenses have an interval between centers of the lenses is smaller than a diameter of the first circle. The lens holding member has an outer surface including a plurality of lens arrangement holes in which the plurality of lenses are respectively disposed. Adjacent lens arrangement holes are linked together to form a linked hole. The linked hole has a shape that represents part of a shape formed by disposing a plurality of second circles, the second circles being partially overlapped, each of the second circles having a diameter larger than a diameter of the first circle.

Abstract: A projector according to the present disclosure includes: a projection unit, a lens unit, an imaging unit, and a computing unit. The projection unit displays a first image, The lens unit projects the first image that is displayed by the projection unit. The imaging unit images a second image, which is projected by another projector, through the lens unit. The computing unit computes a distance between a surface on which the second image is projected and the another projector. Such the distance is computed from imaging data of the second image imaged by the imaging unit, and from spacing information on a spacing between the projector concerned and the another projector.
