Abstract: A control method includes: receiving, from a case search system, a plurality of data including a plurality of images corresponding to a plurality of similar medical images having a certain similarity with a target medical image to be interpreted; displaying on a display a display screen including a first display area that displays thumbnails of the plurality of similar medical images; sensing one similar medical image selected from among the plurality of similar medical images displayed as thumbnails in the first display area; if the one selected similar medical image is a diffuse lesion, displaying the other plurality of medical images in a second display area included on the display screen; and if the one selected similar medical image is a localized lesion, successively displaying, in the second display area and in a first direction, the plurality of medical images including the localized lesion.

Abstract: A method includes displaying, on a display of an information terminal, thumbnail images of similar cases received from a case search system and displaying, in a disease name list display area, a disease name list formed from a list of disease names of the similar cases and the number of cases. If a plurality of regions of interest are set by a user when a search is conducted, the disease name list enters a mode in which the name of a concomitant disease is displayable therein.

Abstract: If a lesion included in a specification target image is a texture lesion, a probability image calculation unit calculates a probability value indicating a probability that each of a plurality of pixels of the specification target image is included in a lesion area. An output unit calculates, as a candidate area, an area including pixels whose probability values are equal to or larger than a first threshold in a probability image obtained from the probability image calculation unit and, as a modification area, an area including pixels whose probability values are within a certain probability range including the first threshold. An input unit detects an input from a user on a pixel in the modification area. A lesion area specification unit specifies a lesion area on the basis of the probability image, the candidate area, the modification area, and user operation information.
