Abstract: An interactive user interface for receiving and displaying data is described. The interactive user interface may display data sets from a plurality of external applications and/or data sources. Received data sets may be compiled to form an interactive graphical unit, also called a “card,” that may be displayed in a format based upon that of the native external application of the received data sets. Cards may be grouped with other cards. A card may include a link which allows users to access the native external application of the card to make any desired modifications or changes.

In an embodiment, a plurality of different electronic documents are stored in a data repository. A server computer system identifies one or more service software components of an application program that have been installed as part of a particular application instance. The server computer identifies a subset of one or more particular documents from the plurality of documents stored in the data repository that correspond to the identified one or more services. Using the subset of one or more particular documents, the server generates a particular customized document which is then stored in association with the particular application instance.
