Abstract: A multi-layer display (MLD) system may include a plurality of display screens including at least first and second display screens arranged in a substantially parallel and overlapping manner, such that an air gap exists between the first display screen and the second display screen. An opening in the enclosure may exist such that air can flow through the opening between the air gap and outside of the enclosure, and a membrane covering the opening, the membrane being porous to air and non-porous to small particulates and water.
