Abstract: An optical distribution box includes a base portion, a cover portion, and an engaging portion configured to be attached to a first one of the base portion and the cover portion. A second one of the base portion and the cover portion comprises an angled pathway portion; at least a portion of a seal portion is located between the angled pathway portion and the first one of the base portion and the cover portion; the angled pathway portion transitions from a first portion to a second portion; an edge portion of the engaging portion is configured to engage the first portion and the second portion of the angled pathway portion; and the slide body portion is configured to urge the cover portion toward the base portion in a location of the seal portion so as to enhance a watertight seal between the cover portion and the base portion.

Abstract: A fiber distribution enclosure may include a base portion, a cover portion, and an enclosure portion structurally configured to be pivotally coupled with the base portion at an interior. The first enclosure portion may be structurally configured to be pivoted relative to the base portion between a lowered position and a raised position, and the first enclosure portion may include an engagement portion structurally configured to engage a receiving portion of the mounting portion in the raised position such that the engagement portion and the receiving portion are structurally configured to maintain the first enclosure portion in the raised position so as to provide enhanced access to the adapter portion.

Abstract: A cable access terminal includes: a base; a moving portion attached to the base; and a cover that is configured to prevent access to an upper area of the moving portion. The moving portion may be configured to prevent access to a base area in a closed position; the cover may be configured to prevent access to a first side of an adapter as a result of the cover being secured to the moving portion; and the moving portion may be structurally configured to permit access to the first side of the adapter and to the base area when the fastener is removed and to prevent access to the first side of the adapter and to the base area, while permitting access to the second side of the adapter, when the fastener is in place, so as to provide only limited access to users unauthorized to access the base area.

Abstract: A dust plug for a fiber optic connector includes a plug wall, an alignment member and a ferrule protector. The plug wall includes a first side and a second side. The plug wall may or may not be part of a housing. The alignment member may extend from the first side of the plug wall wherein the alignment member is configured to engage with and be disposed within an adapter. The ferrule protector may extend from the second side of the plug wall wherein the ferrule protector may be configured to receive a ferrule of a fiber optic cable. The ferrule protector, the plug wall, and the alignment member may be configured to block a signal from the ferrule when the ferrule is disposed within the ferrule protector and when the member is inserted into the adapter.
