Abstract: A lighting device which uses laser light as excitation light, the lighting device including: a mirror which has a reflective surface and reflects the laser light; a light emitter which emits light having a wavelength different from a wavelength of the laser light, when illuminated by the laser light, the light emitter being located to receive the laser light reflected by the mirror; a first pivot which causes the light emitter to pivot about a first pivotal axis, the reflective surface of the mirror lying on the first pivotal axis; and a conjunction means which causes the mirror to pivot about the first pivotal axis in conjunction with the light emitter pivoting, a pivotal angle of the mirror being half of a pivotal angle of the light emitter.

Abstract: An illumination device includes a light source unit; and a light guide plate configured to guide light from the light source unit and to emit the light outward. The light guide plate includes an incidence surface which constitutes one end surface of the light guide plate and on which the light from the light source unit is incident, and emission surfaces which constitute opposite main surfaces of the light guide plate and from which the light incident on the incidence surface is emitted. The emission surfaces include dots formed by micro prism processing. The dots on one of the emission surfaces and the dots on the other emission surface are position-shifted in rotational symmetry with each other.
