    Abstract: An in-vehicle power supply device includes an input end configured to be connected to an in-vehicle secondary battery, an output end configured to be connected to an in-vehicle load, an external signal input port configured to receive an activation signal, a first converter unit connected to the input end and the output end, and a second converter unit connected in parallel to the first converter unit. The first converter unit includes a first drive power supply configured to constantly receive power suppled from the input end, and a first voltage converter operable in response to the power received by the first drive power supply to constantly output power from the output end. The second converter unit includes a second drive power supply activated by the activation signal received by the external signal input port, a converter controller configured to start to operate in response to the activating of the second drive power supply, and a second voltage converter configured to start to operate in response to the starting of the operating of the converter controller so as to output power from the output end. The in-vehicle power supply device increases power efficiency.

    Abstract: A polyphase power-supply device includes first to N-th DC-DC converters connected in parallel to each other between an input terminal and an output terminal and a switching controller configured to perform interleave control on the first to N-th DC-DC converters by supplying first to N-th pulse width modulation (PWM) signals to the first to N-th DC-DC converters, respectively, where N is any integer equal to or greater than two. A switching frequency of the first PWM signal is changed at a change time point at which a cycle of the first PWM signal starts. A length of a cycle of the k-th PWM signal firstly appearing after the change time point is shorter than lengths of subsequent cycles of the k-th PWM signal appearing the first cycle of the k-th PWM signal. This polyphase power-supply device has high reliability.

    Abstract: A common mode noise filter includes an insulating layer, a first coil conductor disposed on a first surface of the insulating layer and extending slenderly, and a second coil conductor disposed on a second surface of the insulating layer and extending slenderly. The second coil conductor faces the first coil conductor across the insulating layer. A portion of the second coil conductor has a cross section crossing a direction in which the portion of the second coil conductor extends slenderly. The cross section includes an apex portion facing the first coil conductor across the insulating layer and a base side portion opposite to the apex portion. A width of the apex portion is smaller than a width of the base-side portion. The common mode noise filter reduces attenuation of differential signals in high frequencies.

    Abstract: An object of the present disclosure is to provide a common mode noise filter that can be used in a high-frequency band. The common mode noise filter of the present disclosure includes first to fifth insulator layers and stacked body in which first to fifth insulator layers are stacked along a vertical direction.     Abstract: A DC-DC converter includes first and second switching devices electrically connected in series between an input terminal and a ground terminal, third and fourth switching devices electrically connected in series between an output terminal and the ground terminal, an inductor, a drive circuit that drives the first switching device to turn on and off, a bootstrap capacitor circuit connected electrically to the drive circuit, and a control circuit. The control circuit is operable to turn on and off the switching devices serially connected with each other after a simultaneous-off duration for which both of the switching devices are continuously turned off. The control circuit is operable to charge the bootstrap capacitor by continuously turning on keeping the second switching device for a charging duration while continuously turning off the first switching device for a sustaining duration determined by the simultaneous-off duration and the charging duration. This DC-DC converter can reduce a current ripple even when the bootstrap capacitor is charged.

    Abstract: An in-vehicle power supply system includes a high-voltage direct-current (DC) power supply, a low-voltage storage battery, a DC-DC converter, and a controller. The DC-DC converter includes a conversion circuit including a high-voltage terminal and a low-voltage terminal, an input switch connected between the high-voltage DC power supply and the high-voltage terminal, and an output switch connected between the low-voltage terminal and the low-voltage storage battery. The controller is configured to, after detecting that a current flowing through the conversion circuit exceeds a predetermined current threshold or that a charge voltage of the low-voltage storage battery exceeds a predetermined voltage threshold, execute a failure determination of the DC-DC converter after instructing the conversion circuit to stop a voltage conversion operation, causing the input switch to switch to the disconnected state, and instructing the output switch to switch to the disconnected state. The controller is configured to, in the failure determination execute a first determination operation including an output short-circuit failure determination, an output open-circuit failure determination, and an input short-circuit failure determination. If determining, in the first determination operation, that the output switch does not have failure, controller is configured to execute a second determination operation of determining whether or not the conversion circuit has failure. If determining, in the second determination operation, that the conversion circuit does not have failure, the controller is configured to execute a third determination operation of determining whether or not the input switch has failure. The in-vehicle power supply device determines the location of failure easily.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a common mode noise filter that can improve attenuation characteristics of common mode noise over a wide frequency range. The common mode noise filter of the present disclosure includes: two magnetic sections and each of which is made of a magnetic material; and non-magnetic section disposed between magnetic sections in a stacking direction, non-magnetic section being made of a non-magnetic material. Moreover, the common mode noise filter further includes two coils and metal layer. Coils are disposed inside non-magnetic section while facing each other. Metal layer is formed inside at least one of two magnetic sections while being connected to the ground. Metal layers are positioned closer to a lower surface of magnetic section than an upper surface of magnetic section and closer to an upper surface of magnetic section than a lower surface of magnetic section.
