    Abstract: Techniques for modifying queries in a set of nested queries are disclosed. A graphical user interface displays a query detail region alongside a nested query display region. The graphical user interface includes functionality to provide for modification of queries in the nested set of queries. Based on a selection by a user, a query modification tool promotes a query attribute from a child query to one or more parent queries. Based on another selection by a user associated with one query in the set of nested queries, the system deletes an attribute from each query in the set of nested queries. Responsive to a selection to create multiple conditions for a query rule, the system modifies the functionality of the user interface to enable entry of multiple condition characteristics. Based on a further selection, the system creates the multiple conditions for the query rule.

    Abstract: A chart is displayed without rendering entirely obscured markers. Successive nested pixel maps of a chart of pixels are traversed. Each of the nested pixel maps has fewer data elements than a corresponding next one of the nested pixel maps. Obscurity states of markers of the chart are determined. The obscurity states include an entirely obscured state, an entirely visible state, and a partially visible state. Each of the markers for a particular nested pixel map is associated with a separate pixel for the particular nested pixel map. One or more of the markers associated with the entirely visible state and one or more of the markers associated with the partially visible state are rendered without rendering markers associated with the entirely obscured state.

    Abstract: A system and method for facilitating graphically conveying information via a visualization. An example method includes accessing a first set of data characterized by hierarchically related data objects; representing a first object as a first central node in a visualization; displaying one or more additional second objects via one or more second nodes that are positioned on a first orbit path around the central node; determining if an additional object of the one or more second objects exhibits a superior hierarchical relationship relative to one or more third objects; and then illustrating the one or more third objects as petals that are circumferentially displayed about one or more outer edges of one or more nodes of the one or more second objects. The example method further includes enabling conversion of petals to planet nodes that orbit one of the second nodes.

    Abstract: Various arrangements are presented that allow for a prebuilt visualization component to be incorporated into an application under development, wherein the prebuilt visualization component is configured to create graphical nodes to be arranged and output for presentation by the application following compilation. A layout plug-in may be registered with the prebuilt visualization component such that the prebuilt visualization component communicates with the layout plug-in.     Abstract: Implementations generally relate to using a nested pixel map to optimize chart rendering in a graphical user interface. In some implementations, a method includes generating a first pixel map for a chart, wherein the first pixel map is a first data structure that includes a first group of first data elements, wherein each first data element corresponds to a pixel of a plurality of pixels used to render the chart. The method further includes generating at least one secondary pixel map for the chart. The method further includes determining one or more obscurity states of one or more markers of the chart based on one or more of the first pixel map and the at least one secondary pixel map. The method further includes rendering one or more of the markers in the chart based on the obscurity state of each of the one or more markers.
