摘要： Adjustable security brackets adapted to selectively secure different sized portable devices to a display surface are described herein. Such a security bracket includes a main body selectively securable to the display surface, first and second arm assemblies, a drivetrain, first and second actuators, a back support, and a rotatable shaft. The arm assemblies each include a respective pair of arms between which a portable device can be secured. The drivetrain is mechanically coupled to the first and second arm assemblies. The first actuator is configured to actuate the drivetrain to cause the first and second arm assemblies to move toward and away from one another. The rotatable shaft is mechanically coupled to the back support. The second actuator is configured to rotate the rotatable shaft in first and second rotational directions to cause the back support to move up and down relative to the main body.

In an embodiment an apparatus includes a main body, a plurality of arms that are extendable and retractable relative to the main body, and a plurality of braces attached to the plurality of arms, each brace configured to be secured to the portable electronic device. The apparatus includes one or more ratcheting buttons, located in corresponding holes in the main body or in arms, each ratcheting button configured to be upwardly movable within the corresponding hole with a ratchet mechanism to prevent downward movement of the ratcheting button within the corresponding hole. One or more fasteners is/are attachable to a tabletop to secure the apparatus and the portable electronic device to the tabletop.

摘要： Apparatuses for physically securing a laptop in an open position to a display surface are disclosed. Such an apparatus comprises a main body from which fastener(s) extend downward, and left and right arms that are extendable and retractable relative to the main body. The left and right arms comprise, respectively, left and right braces. A tab extends through an opening in a bottom of the main body and is configured to transition the apparatus from a unidirectional configuration to a bidirectional configuration in response to being pressed. When the apparatus is in the unidirectional configuration the left and right arms are retractable in tandem relative to the main body, and the left and right arms are prevented from being extended relative to the main body. When the apparatus is in the bidirectional configuration the left and right arms are both retractable and extendable relative to the main body.
