Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of enhanced blind retransmission scheme. The method comprises: receiving, at a first device and from a second device, a configuration for determining a target offset associated with a contention resolution timer for a random access procedure; determining the target offset based on the configuration; transmitting, to the second device, a message associated with the random access procedure, the message comprising an identity of the first device for random access; and controlling a starting and termination of the contention resolution timer based on the target offset and the transmission of the message. In this way, the blind retransmission of MSG3 can be supported in the random access procedure through controlling a starting and termination of the contention resolution timer based on the transmission of the message and an offset, which is beneficial to the NTN.

Abstract: This disclosure presents solutions for a communication system of a non-terrestrial network (NTN) node and a user equipment (UE) to determine, where the NTN node can determine one or more HARQ retransmission schemes for one or more LCHs used by the UE. The HARQ retransmission scheme can be mapped into one, two, or five bits of the DCI signal, depending on the mapping algorithm selected. In some example embodiments. LCHs can be grouped by using similar LCH prioritization or similar HARQ retransmission schemes. HARQ retransmission schemes can be mapped to the LCG. If there remains sufficient data space in the TBS/UL, other LCH can be included into the transmission even though the other LCH utilize different HARQ retransmission schemes. The UE can encode its HARQ transmission using the HARQ retransmission scheme indicated for the LCH the UE is utilizing.

The NTN node can specify to the UE a set of HARQ parameters to provide an indication of HARQ feedback status, which can be disabling or enabling of HARQ feedback, and to provide an indication of the resources for transmission of HARQ feedback when the indication of HARQ feedback status is disabling.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses, and computer readable storage media of enhanced UL synchronization for improved system performance. The method comprises obtaining a configuration of a gap within which a radio resource control connected state of the first device is kept; receiving, within the gap, system broadcasted information used for deriving a compensation associated with a transmission between the first device and a second device; and performing a uplink synchronization between the first device to the second device within the gap. In this way, a process of the GNSS fix position refreshing and/or satellite ephemeris data reception and UL/DL re-synchronization can be achieved by the UE in RRC connected mode and therefore the resources and power consumption can be reduced.

By providing the duplication of HARQ feedback, the reliability of HARQ feedback is enhanced, which in turn improves the efficiency of DL data transmissions and reduces frequency resources as well as the power consumption.
