Abstract: The method includes transmitting request messages to at least one first network node, the request messages each including at least a sampling time-window and a network slice identifier, the sampling time-window defining a duration of time, the network slice identifier identifying a designated network slice within the communication network, receiving packet reports from the at least one first network node, the packet reports including latency information for packets that are processed by the at least one first network node during the sampling time-window for the designated network slice, and controlling the operation of the communication network based on the latency information.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally discloses an adaptive bitrate streaming support capability configured to support adaptive bitrate streaming of content. The adaptive bitrate streaming support capability is configured to support adaptive bitrate streaming of content via a wireless access network including an application scheduler and a wireless access device. The application scheduler receives an adaptive bitrate streaming flow and sends the adaptive bitrate streaming flow toward the wireless access device based on scheduling of the adaptive bitrate streaming flow at the application scheduler. The wireless access device determines feedback information associated with the adaptive bitrate streaming flow and provides the feedback information associated with the adaptive bitrate streaming flow to the application scheduler. The application scheduler determines scheduling of the adaptive bitrate streaming flow, for transmission toward the wireless access device, based on the feedback information associated with the adaptive bitrate streaming flow.

Abstract: The method includes obtaining a first set of support and confidence parameters, identifying a first set of VNFs of a plurality of VNFs of the communication network based on the first set of support and confidence parameters, and determining association information by mining rules within VNFs of the first set of VNFs using the support and confidence parameters. A second set of VNFs, of the plurality of VNFs, are then selected based on the association information, and an operation of the communication network is controlled using the first set of VNFs and the second set of VNFs.
