Abstract:
To provide an e-mail communication apparatus, an e-mail communication method and a program capable of, in the case of receiving e-mail which is split e-mails including request-to-send (RTS) information for transmitting the e-mail to a predetermined destination, suitably performing transmittal confirmation without transmitting to a source the e-mail of the transmittal confirmation as to each of multiple pieces of the split e-mails. First, an MFP 100 having received the e-mail determines whether or not the e-mail is one of multiple divided data pieces generated by dividing image data by a data amount so as to store it. In the case where the received data is the divided data, the MFP 100 determines whether or not all the divided data pieces of the image data are stored, and transmits transmittal confirmation mail based on an MDN request if all are stored.

Abstract:
A transmission apparatus transmits e-mail to a reception apparatus through a network by selecting one of a communication method via a mail server and a communication method without intervention of a mail server. This transmission apparatus generates the e-mail and transmits, to the reception apparatus, the e-mail and information representing the reply method of a transmittal confirmation request in response to the e-mail. The transmission apparatus receives, from the reception apparatus in accordance with the reply method, a transmittal confirmation result in response to the transmitted e-mail.
Abstract:
A facsimile machine that enables to limit a facsimile transmission based on a network address converted from an inputted telephone number, and provides a facsimile transmission based on a network address designated as a destination of received image data. An input unit inputs a telephone number of a transmitting destination. A setting unit sets a transmission limit domain to which a facsimile transmission is limited. An acquisition unit adapted to acquire a network address corresponding to the telephone number inputted via the input unit. A control unit that limits a facsimile transmission of which the transmitting destination is the acquired network address based on a domain of the network address acquired by the acquisition unit and the transmission limit domain set by the setting unit.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus stores a plurality of conversion conditions for converting input image data and, if the image data is converted according to each conversion condition, information indicating a relationship between a data size of the image data before conversion and a data size of transmission data that is acquired after conversion by associating the conversion conditions and the information with each other; sets the conversion condition for converting the input image data according to an instruction from a user, estimates the data size of the transmission data that is acquired if the input image data is converted according to the set conversion condition, using the stored information; and issues a notification to the user based on a result of the estimation.
Abstract:
When data communication is performed by using a call control protocol, a data communication apparatus receives a call connection request message from an external apparatus and transmits a response message in reply to the call connection request message. At that time, when the call connection request message is received, it is determined whether a call connection process for communication with another external apparatus differing from the external apparatus is under execution. Transmission of the response message is controlled based on a result of the determination.

Abstract:
An improved e-mail communication apparatus, a data processing method and a program are provided. First, an MFP 100 which receives an e-mail decides whether or not the e-mail is one of a plurality of split data generated by dividing image data in data amount units and stores the e-mail. The MFP 100 then decides whether or not all the split data of the image data are stored, and when all the split data are stored, the MFP 100 generates combined data by combining the plurality of split data and performs printing processing on recording paper based on the combined data.
Abstract:
A communications device and method for transmitting e-mail with image data attached as an attachment file can select whether to send the e-mail directly to the recipient or via a mail server, depending on the address of the e-mail to be transmitted. As a result, the disclosed device and method can reduce the load on the mail server and transmit large volumes of data reliably.
Abstract:
There are provided an image generating apparatus, method, program, and recording medium that eliminate the need for specifying the size of paper on which a captured image is to be printed and are capable of printing the image on paper of a suitable size even when information about the paper size is unavailable. An MFP 101 obtains an image from a device such as a digital camera 105, extracts pixel count information from the image, and determines whether or not the image contains resolution information. If the image does not contain resolution information, the image is transformed to an image of a size that fits an A4-size sheet and the resolution of the image is determined on the basis of the pixel count information. Then, the size-transformed image is printed on an A4-size sheet with the determined resolution.
