摘要： A mobile device shade apparatus includes a clip and at least one panel. The clip has a receiving slot configured to receive a mobile device and can have a head receiver. The at least one panel is configured to travel with respect to the clip and with respect to a display of the mobile device received in the receiving slot. The at least one panel can have a head maintained in the head receiver and a main portion that extends from the head. The clip can include a front portion and a rear portion that cooperatively form the receiving slot as a flexible receiving slot. The front portion of the clip can define a travel path for the at least one panel to travel with respect to the clip.

Also included is a containment mechanism having a stow compartment configured to stow the shade in the stowed state. A state transition mechanism is configured to transition the shade from the stowed state in the stowed compartment into the deployed state and back again, in response to user actuation. The shade can be attachable to, form part of, or form part of a case for maintaining the mobile electronic device.
