    摘要: Provided is a toroidal continuously variable transmission capable of preventing the application of bending stress to a variator shaft during rotation and the application of an eccentric load to each of support parts even when misalignment between the axis of a fitting hole formed in a post and the axis on which the variator shaft is supported occurs.A thrust bearing 12 which determines the position of an output side disc 10 in an axial direction and rotatably supports the output side disc 10 is fitted into a fitting hole 62b provided in a post 61, and a predetermined gap S is provided between the thrust bearing 12 and the fitting hole 62b in a direction perpendicular to the variator shaft 3. Therefore, even when misalignment between the axis of the fitting hole and the axis on which the variator shaft is supported occurs, the axes of the thrust bearing 12 and the variator shaft 3 can be aligned with each other in the predetermined gap S, thereby preventing the application of bending stress to the variator shaft 3 during rotation and the application of an eccentric load to each of support parts.

The pendulum includes a swinging shaft serving as the swing center and a rolling shaft including a rolling surface on the outer periphery thereof. The rotating body includes a plurality of pendulum support portions, and the pendulum support portion includes a swinging shaft guide portion that guides the swinging shaft in a radial direction of the rotating body, and a rolling shaft guide portion that is in rolling-contact with the rolling surface of the rolling shaft to cause the pendulum to swing around the swing axis.

A disk-side fitting surface section 22 formed around a portion of the inner-circumferential surface of the center hole 19 in the input-side disk 2c that is adjacent to the other end side of the female-spline section 13a and a shaft-side fitting surface section 23 formed around a portion of the outer-circumferential surface of the input rotating shaft 1b that is adjacent to the other end side of the male spline section 12a are fitted together with an interference fit.

Installation plate sections are provided on the top and bottom end sections of a pair of support columns. Bolts are inserted through through-holes that penetrate through the installation plate sections in the axial direction; the bolts are then screwed into screw holes provided in the axial direction of anchor sections of an actuator body and a connecting plate, and the bolts are further tightened, whereby the support columns are securely joined and fastened to the actuator body and the connecting plate.

Displacement of the outer ring 16b in the axial direction of the support beam 23a is limited by engaging a concave groove 27 that is formed around the inside surface of the concave section 24 in the circumferential direction around the support beam 23a with a protrusion 28 that is formed around the outer-circumferential surface of the support beam 23a.
