Abstract: Inter-alia, a method is disclosed comprising: while a user equipment, UE, is scheduled without uplink, UL, gap intervals for proximity sensing: performing a first measurement indicative of a first measured peak effective isotropic radiated power, EIRP, value of the UE, and obtaining a first UL transmit power report from the UE; while the UE is scheduled with one or more UL gap intervals for proximity sensing and is placed in a free-space environment: outside the one or more scheduled UL gap intervals, performing a second measurement indicative of a second measured peak EIRP value of the UE, and obtaining a second UL transmit power report from the UE; and determining whether the UE is eligible for UL gap configuration at least based on the first and second measured peak EIRP values and on the first and second UL transmit power reports. It is further disclosed an according apparatus, computer program and a testing arrangement.

Abstract: In a system, apparatus, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium for implementing dynamic uplink (UL) gaps for maximum permissible exposure (MPE) detection, a user equipment (UE) device include a wireless antenna array, a memory storing computer readable instructions and a UL gap configuration, and processing circuitry configured to execute the computer readable instructions to cause the device to, determine estimated distance information between a user and the device using the wireless antenna array during at least one first scheduled UL gap of the UL gap scheduling in accordance with the UE maximum transmission power limit, the UL gap scheduling based on a default UL gap periodicity value and a default UL gap duration value, transmit a MPE-related message to the node based on the estimated distance information and a desired MPE threshold, and adjust the UL gap configuration based on the transmitted MPE-related message.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to UE type switching. In an aspect, a terminal device transmits, to a network device, capability information indicating support of a plurality of types of the terminal device. Then, the network device transmits an indication for switching a type of the terminal device to the terminal device. Moreover, the terminal device performs type switching based on the indication and a requirement for an interruption caused by the type switching. In this way, it is allowed to avoid transmission failure due to the interruption caused by type switching, and thus improve resource utilization and transmission flexibility.
