    Abstract: The wavelength adapter includes a first conversion unit, a first filter, a second conversion unit, and a second filter. The first conversion unit converts, by a first pump light, a first signal light into a second signal light having a wavelength not included in a target wavelength band while maintaining a phase relationship of the first signal light. The first filter blocks the first signal light and the first pump light, and allows for transmission of the second signal light. The second conversion unit converts, by a second pump light, the second signal light after transmission through the first filter into a third signal light having a wavelength in the target wavelength band while maintaining a phase relationship of the second signal light. The second filter blocks the second signal light and the second pump light, and allows for transmission of the third signal light.

    Abstract: A subscriber device in an optical communication system including a subscriber device, a user device connected to the subscriber device, an optical switch that relays an optical signal transmitted from the subscriber device to a destination device, a wavelength control unit that allocates a wavelength to the subscriber device, and an optical switch control unit that controls the optical switch such that the optical signal transmitted from the subscriber device is output to another port connected to a transmission line corresponding to a transfer destination on a path to the destination device. The subscriber device includes a wavelength monitoring unit that monitors a wavelength of the optical signal transmitted from the user device and a transceiver that transmits and receives the optical signal to and from another device. The wavelength monitoring unit instructs the user device to use an appropriate wavelength when the wavelength of the optical signal transmitted from the user device is different from the wavelength allocated by the wavelength control unit. When the wavelength of the optical signal transmitted from the user device is identical to the wavelength allocated by the wavelength control unit, the subscriber device transmits the optical signal through the optical switch.

    Abstract: An optical communication device includes: an optical switch configured to output an optical signal input from one transmission line to another transmission line among a plurality of transmission lines; and a control unit configured to control the optical switch such that a wavelength in accordance with a subscriber device and a transmission destination on a path of a communication destination is allocated to the subscriber device by using a control signal inserted or written by the control unit or a monitoring unit, and the input optical signal is output to the another transmission line corresponding to the communication destination. The subscriber device divides a main signal of the input optical signal into at least first and second partial main signals, inserts the control signal between the first and second partial main signals, inserts a time region for inserting the control signal in the control unit or the monitoring unit in a middle of a path, or inserts a writable signal region for overwriting using the control signal for transmission, deletes the control signal, the time region for inserting the control signal, or the writable signal region for overwriting using the control signal from a received signal, and combines the divided main signals to output the main signal.
