摘要:
An electronic musical instrument is capable of modulation controlling at least one of the pitch frequency, tone color and volume envelope of a second keyboard section tone signal by a tone signal obtained by operating any key on the first keyboard section. To control the frequency, tone color and volume envelope of the second keyboard section tone signal, a voltage controlled oscillator, voltage controlled filter and voltage controlled amplifier can be used. The first keyboard section tone signal may be frequency divided and/or waveform converted so as to control the second keyboard section tone signal.

An electronic musical instrument comprising: a tone generator including a voltage-controlled oscillator; a voltage-controlled filter for coloring tone signal; a voltage-controlled amplifier for imparting a desired envelope to the tone signal; voltage waveform generators for generating controlling voltage waveforms for the oscillator, filter and amplifier; and a waveform controller for controlling said controlling voltage waveforms by the use of voltage parameters representing the initial level, attack level, attack time, first decay time, sustain level, and second decay time, thereby controlling the generated musical sounds in a time-dependent manner easily and variously. The waveform controller can include a plurality of fixed and variable memories which can be easily pre-set and/or selected, or totally replaced.

An automatic rhythm instrument is provided with a rhythm termination circuit which keeps the rhythm pattern pulse generator operating even after the stop switch is manipulated and stops keeping it operating upon detecting the end of the rhythm cycle, thus stopping the automatic rhythm performance upon completion of the full rhythm cycle. On this instrument, the player does not have to manipulate the stop switch at the exact end of the rhythm cycle, but has only to manipulate it at any time within the last rhythm cycle and the instrument keeps on the performance until it comes to the final end of the rhythm cycle and stops.
