摘要: An apparatus for generating an aerosol for inhalation by a user. The apparatus includes a first container for containing a liquid from which, in use, the apparatus generates a flow of aerosol; a second container for containing a material through which, in use, the flow of aerosol passes; an aerosol generating arrangement for generating the flow of aerosol from the liquid contained in the first container; and a heating arrangement for heating the material contained in the second container. The heating arrangement is arranged to heat the material contained in the second container to a temperature that prevents or reduces condensation from the flow of aerosol forming on the material and is below a temperature required to cause substantial aerosol formation from the material. A method of using such an apparatus is also disclosed.

摘要: A method of generating aerosol from aerosol generating material using an aerosol provision device is disclosed. The method comprises supplying power to a heating element to begin heating the aerosol generating material to an operational temperature (e.g. a temperature at which aerosol is generated). After a first predetermined time period, the method provides a signal to a user to signify that the user may begin inhaling on the device. After a second predetermined time period or after a user has stopped inhaling, the method reduces the supply of power to the heating element. In this way a user can be guided as to when to inhale on a device. The timing may be adjusted to suit a particular delivery and/or device. Also described are aerosol provision devices and systems.

摘要: A method of generating aerosol from a consumable is disclosed. The consumable comprises a corrugated surface having troughs extending along the consumable in an axial direction, the troughs being provided with aerosol generating material. The method comprising sequentially supplying heat to selected one or more troughs, such that at a given time, heat is directly applied to the selected one or more troughs by a heating element.

摘要: A non-combustible aerosol provision system is described including an article (1) having an aerosol generating material (3) and a mouthpiece (2) downstream of the aerosol generating material, wherein the aerosol generating material provides an aerosol when heated and the mouthpiece comprises a capsule (11) and the part of the mouthpiece in which the capsule is located reaches a temperature of between 58 and 70 degrees Centigrade during use of the system to generate an aerosol. The burst strength of the capsule when located within the mouthpiece and prior to heating of the aerosol generating material can be between 1500 and 4000 grams force and the burst strength of the capsule within 30 seconds of use of the system to generate an aerosol can be between 1000 and 4000 grams force.
