A device is operative to locate a target audio source. The device includes multiple microphones arranged in a predetermined geometry. The device also includes a circuit operative to receive multiple audio signals from each of the microphones. The circuit is operative to estimate respective directions of audio sources that generate at least two of the audio signals; identify candidate audio signals from the audio signals in the directions; match the candidate audio signals with a known audio pattern; and generate an indication of a match in response to one of the candidate audio signals matching the known audio pattern.
Abstract:
A physiological monitoring system is provided. The physiological monitoring system includes a feature extraction device, an identifier, a processor, a physiological sensing device, and a vital-sign detector. The feature extraction device extracts biological information of an object to generate an extraction signal. The identifier receives the extraction signal and verifies an identity of the object according to the extraction signal. The processor receives the extraction signal and obtains at least one biological feature of the user according to the extraction signal. The physiological sensing device senses a physiological feature to generate a bio-signal. The vital-sign detector estimates vital-sign data of the object according to the bio-signal and the at least one biological feature.
Abstract:
An electronic device controlling method and a user registration method are provided. In the electronic device controlling method, when a target device receives a first and a second control commands which are identical, but performed by different users simultaneously or separately, the target device performs a first predetermined operation based on an identity of the user performing the first control command, and performs a second predetermined operation based on an identity of the user performing the second control command. In the user registration method, a user registered identity model corresponding to a user to be registered is established according to identity information of the user, and is mapped to a user profile comprising a relationship between the control commands and the predetermined operations. By acquiring the registered information, the target device is able to perform the user dependent operations.
Abstract:
A mobile device includes a motion detector, a processing unit, and a wireless positioning module. The motion detector is configured to detect a motion of the mobile device to obtain a motion signal. The processing unit is configured to do the followings: process the motion signal to obtain a vibration frequency and a vibration regularity of the mobile device; determine a device activity status of the mobile device according to the vibration frequency and the vibration regularity; and generate a control signal when finding that the device activity status switches from a first activity status to a second activity status. The wireless positioning module is configured to identify a first location of the mobile device in response to the control signal.
