Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a portable terminal and an application software start-up system whereby the application software that is started up is limited depending on the state of a user, thereby providing an improved ease of use. For this purpose, an application software start-up method for an information processing device comprises: performing identity authentication based on static biological information; determining the state of the user by comparing dynamic biological information acquired from the body of the user with previously measured dynamic biological information; and limiting the application software that is started up in accordance with the determined state of the user and on the basis of a permission level that is set in advance for each application software item.

Abstract: There is provided an imaging device including: an image processing unit; a face recognition processing unit; a storage unit; and a composition processing unit for generating composite data by a composition process so that persons photographed in each of a plurality of image data are included in one image data. The face recognition processing unit recognizes a first person by performing a face recognition process on first image data. When second image data obtained by photographing a second person at the different photographing timing of the first image data, with the same background as the first image data, is recorded in the storage unit, the composition processing unit generates composite data in which the first person and the second person are superimposed on the same background.

Abstract: A terminal receives a GPS signal and a GPS correction signal, and a first elevation value calculation unit calculates an elevation value from the GPS signal and the GPS correction signal. The terminal includes an atmospheric pressure information detection unit that detects ambient atmospheric pressure information, and a second elevation value calculation unit for calculating an elevation value from the atmospheric pressure information. If a GPS correction signal can be received, the elevation value calculated by the first elevation value calculation unit is used as the elevation value of the current position and the calculated elevation value is used to calibrate the second elevation value calculation unit. If a GPS correction signal cannot be received, the elevation value calculated by the calibrated second elevation value calculation unit is used as the elevation value of the current position to acquire an accurate elevation value even when inside a building or tunnel.

Abstract: A mobile terminal has a communication processing unit that transmits, to a video display apparatus for displaying a broadcasted video content, a request for setting a viewing schedule of the video content. A storage unit stores a starting time of the video content for which the setting of the viewing schedule has been requested; and an information provision unit provides information to a user of the mobile terminal. A control unit determines whether the video display apparatus is existent around the mobile terminal. At a first predetermined time before the starting time, the information provision unit notifies the user of the first predetermined time. If the video display apparatus is not existent around the mobile terminal at a second predetermined time before the starting time, the information provision unit then notifies the user that it is the second predetermined time before the starting time.
