Abstract: A system and method are provided for reducing global warming. In an embodiment, a platform is provided over a surface area and supports growing at least one plant. At least one panel is coupled to the platform that comprises a plurality of solar cells. Further, at least one water storage unit is coupled to the platform and configured to collect rain water. At least a portion of the surface area is shaded as a function of the platform thereby reducing temperature of the surface area.
