    Abstract: A centrifugal separator for separating particles from a fluid has a housing with an inflow opening and an outflow opening. Guide blades that generate a turbulent flow in a fluid flowing into the housing through the inlet opening are provided. The guide blades each have a leading edge. The leading edge of a first guide blade has a first spacing to a cross-sectional plane of the housing and the leading edge of a second guide blade has a second spacing relative to the cross-sectional plane of the housing, wherein the cross-sectional plane is perpendicular to an inflow direction of the fluid.
