    Abstract: A heat exchanger, e.g., an indirect charge air cooler for an internal combustion engine, is disclosed. The heat exchanger includes a plurality of tubes that provide a first channel system for a first fluid, and a second channel system for a second fluid disposed between the plurality of tubes that is fluidically separated from the first channel system. Two opposite side parts for fluidically bounding the second channel system are provided, between which the plurality of tubes are arranged. At least one frame part is soldered together with a respective outer edge of the two side parts. The outer edge of a side part includes a tab bent over S-shaped as edge reinforcement with a first tab section solder-plated on an outside and a second tab section solder-plated on an inside. The frame part has an S-shaped cross section with a first receptacle that receives the first tab section.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger, such as an indirect charge-air cooler for an internal combustion engine, may include a first duct system including a plurality of pipes, a second duct system, a collector including a base part and a box part, and at least two opposite side parts. The plurality of pipes may be arranged between the side parts, and the first duct system may be fluidically separated from the second duct system. The box part may bear against at least one of the side parts via a first contact surface. At least one frame part may be provided and coupled in a non-positively locking connection and/or a cohesive connection, for example by pressing and/or brazing, to a respective outer edge of the side parts, a respective outer edge of the base part, and/or a respect outer edge of the box part.

The first and the second medium channels may extend from an inlet of the tube block to an outlet of the tube block. A medium to be cooled may flow through the first medium channels. A cooling medium may flow through the second medium channels. The flange may be configured to receive the tube block about the outlet in a fluid-tight manner. The flange may be plate-like and may have a surrounding bolting region that may be formed about the tube block.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a heat exchanger, for example an indirect charge air cooler for an internal combustion engine. The heat exchanger includes a heat exchanger block including a first channel system for a first fluid and a second channel system for a second fluid that is fluidically separate from the first channel system. Two opposite side parts and two opposite end parts are structured and arranged to fluidically delimit the second channel system. At least one frame part is connected with a respective edge of the two side parts and of the two end parts. An air inlet box is connected to the at least one frame part via a seal. The heat exchanger block has a width b1 and a height h1, and the seal has a width b2 and a height h2, where b1≥b2 and h1≥h2.
