    摘要: A key slide mechanism for a pushbutton radio receiver, includes a locking lever assembly having first and second legs extending parallel to each other and joined together at a first end with first surfaces thereof being in opposing relation. The opposite end of the second one of the legs is bent into a U-shape and extends transverse the legs and partially encircles the first leg. The extreme free end of the second leg extends parallel to the first leg adjacent the surface thereof opposite the firstmentioned surface. A memory cam is mounted for rotation between the first surfaces of the legs. A pushbutton actuator rod has one end extending between the free end of the second leg and the opposite surface of the first leg. The opposite end of the pushbutton rod is separated from the legs of the locking lever assembly and is mounted in the radio tuner housing separately and independently therefrom to minimize interaction therebetween upon depression of the pushbutton actuator rod. Movement of the actuator rod to force the one end thereof into engagement with the extreme free end of the second leg, forces the first and second legs together to capture the memory cam in a preselected position corresponding to a predetermined frequency setting of the radio receiver and to join the actuator rod and locking lever assembly at the corresponding ends thereof so that the actuator rod and locking lever assembly move as a unit thereafter to recall the frequency setting each time the pushbutton actuator rod is depressed. Movement of the actuator rod in the opposite direction, separates the one end thereof and the extreme free end of the second leg to permit rotation of the memory cam for resetting.

    摘要: A radio tuner device for a pushbutton radio receiver includes a tuning core assembly mounted on a pair of roller brackets movable along a pair of spaced tracks for changing the radio frequency reception of the radio receiver. An equalizer assembly comprising a rack and gear arrangement, interconnects the brackets to insure equalized movement thereof along respective tracks to provide in turn equalized movement of tuning cores with respect to stationary tuning coils included in the tuning core assembly. A pushbutton actuated memory assembly mounted on a lower plate includes U-shaped clamping springs and associated memory bars, the latter of which are held in preselected locations by the former for positioning the movable core carriage to locations relative to those of the memory bars in response to the depression of corresponding pushbutton mechanisms. The pushbutton mechanisms are mounted on an upper plate and may be lifted to release lever arms incorporated therein which serve to compress the U-shaped clamping springs upon depression of a corresponding pushbutton mechanism from the released position, to permit movement of an associated memory bar to a new location, corresponding to a desired radio frequency setting. Thereafter, upon depression of the pushbutton mechanism, the tuning core carriage is returned to the new location. A unique manual tuning declutch assembly provided in each pushbutton mechanism includes a plate movable in a direction transverse the movement of the pushbutton mechanism in response to the depression of the latter from a normal position, to move a declutch bar in a like direction for disengagement of the manual tuning control mechanism. The declutch assembly is disabled upon depression of the pushbutton mechanism subsequent to releasing the latter for resetting a memory bar. Push-button actuator assemblies mounted on a plate sandwiched between the upper and lower plates are provided to move the core carriage to a position set by a corresponding memory bar. Each pushbutton actuator assembly includes a rack and gear arrangement. Movement of a pair of racks toward each other in response to the depression of an associated pushbutton mechanism clamps a stationary memory bar and the core carriage between respective projections extending from the rack members, moving the core carriage to a position relative to the location of the memory bar.

Coupled between the slide member and a movable variable frequency tuning core carriage of the radio receiver is a parallelogram linkage including a plurality of pivotally interconnected arms which serve to define portions of first and second parallelograms; the arms of the second of which are shorter in length than those of the first. A point of interconnection of a pair of arms of the second defined parallelogram is coupled operatively to a driver mechanism including a bell crank connected to the core carriage. Movement of the latter by operation of the manual tuning controls of the radio receiver; i.e., pushbutton or manual control knob, drives the pointer mechanism with respect to the dial scale. The movement of the slide member and pointer mechanism is magnified by the ratio of the length of an arm of the first parallelogram with respect to the length of an arm of the second.

A leaf spring coupled to the core carriage of the slug tuned coil assembly of the radio receiver is held in frictional engagement with the drive shaft and moved along a path adjacent the shaft in response to the rotation of the tuning knob, to in turn adjust the setting of the tuning coil assembly. Upon depression of a pushbutton to select a preset radio frequency, the leaf spring is releasable from engagement with the drive shaft to disable momentarily, the manual tuning apparatus.
